Bay & bow windows for North Texas homes
Bay and bow windows project out from the wall, adding light, a wider view and a little extra floor space, often enough for a window seat.

How it works
How bay & bow windows work
A bay window usually combines three windows: a large center pane and two angled side windows that can open. A bow window uses four or more equal windows in a gentle curve. Both are built as one unit, with a seat board and head board, and supported from the wall.
Why homeowners choose them
- Light from three directions
- Space for a seat, plants or display
- One of the biggest curb-appeal upgrades
- Side windows can open for a cross-breeze
Good to know
- The most expensive style, and quoted separately from the 10-window offer.
- Installation takes extra care with the roof above, the seat board and the supports.

In North Texas homes
Many 1980s–2000s homes in Plano, Allen and Lewisville have an original bay over the breakfast table. A bay has more seams than a flat window, and it often faces the afternoon sun, so when the original seals fail the nook gets hot fast. A new, well-sealed unit with Low-E glass makes that room usable again on summer afternoons.
What they cost
The highest-cost style: several windows built and installed as one unit.
Size, glass and installation matter as much as style. See our window replacement cost guide.

What's the difference between a bay and a bow window?
A bay has three windows, usually a large center window with two angled sides. A bow uses four or more equal windows in a smooth curve. Bows look softer; bays make more of a nook.
Are bay and bow windows included in the 10-window offer?
No, bays and bows are quoted individually. See the offer terms, or ask for a written quote at your free estimate.
Can you replace a bay window with a flat window?
It's possible, but it means rebuilding part of the wall and exterior, so we'd quote it individually. Replacing a bay with a new bay is the simpler project.
