6 signs your windows are costing you
Most North Texas homes built before 2005 still have their original windows. Here's what to look for.
Foggy glass
Moisture between the panes means the seal has failed and the insulating gas is gone.
Hot or cold rooms
If one room is always the hottest in summer, its windows are usually why.
Drafts & dust
Worn weatherstripping lets in air, dust and pollen around the sash.
Hard to open
Sticking, sagging or broken locks are a comfort and safety issue.
Rising bills
Old windows make your A/C work overtime through long Texas summers.
Outside noise
Single-pane glass does almost nothing to block traffic and neighbors.

Comfort you can feel
Stay cool, calm and comfortable — even in August
Old aluminum and single-pane windows are like leaving a door open all summer. Our double-pane vinyl windows are built for North Texas, and we'll recommend glass that meets ENERGY STAR guidelines for your county.
Block the Texas heat
Low-E glass reflects much of the sun's heat while letting the light in.
Lower cooling bills
Sealed double-pane glass keeps cool air in, so your A/C runs less.
A quieter home
Two panes of glass soften traffic, neighbors and storms.
Less fading
Low-E coatings filter UV rays that fade floors and furniture.

Glass that works as hard as you do
The right glass for your county
In North Texas the sun is the enemy. Solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) — how much of the sun's heat passes through the glass — matters most. ENERGY STAR sets different targets across the Metroplex, and we'll recommend glass that meets the guideline where you live.
| Counties | ENERGY STAR zone | U-factor | SHGC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dallas & Tarrant | Southern | ≤ 0.32 | ≤ 0.23 |
| Collin & Denton | South-Central | ≤ 0.28 | ≤ 0.23 |

What kind of replacement windows do you install?
We install custom-made double-pane vinyl windows with energy-efficient Low-E glass, in every common style: single-hung, double-hung, sliders, picture, casement, awning, bay and bow, garden and specialty shapes. We also carry Pella and Royal Windows products.
Are vinyl windows good for Texas heat?
Yes. Quality vinyl frames don't conduct heat the way aluminum does, they never need painting, and they hold up to North Texas sun. Paired with Low-E glass, they keep rooms noticeably cooler. Our energy-efficient windows guide explains what to look for on the label.
How much do replacement windows cost?
National cost guides put typical North Texas pricing at roughly $450–$850 per window installed, depending on size, style and glass. Our window replacement cost guide breaks down what moves the price, and your free estimate gives you an exact written number.
Do you remove and haul away my old windows?
Always. Removal, disposal and a full cleanup are included in every installation.
How do I know if my windows need replacing?
Common signs are fog or condensation between the panes, drafts, windows that stick or won't lock, rooms that are much hotter than the rest of the house, rising energy bills and outside noise. If you're seeing two or more, an estimate is worth it.
Will my HOA approve new windows?
Most do, as long as color and grid style fit neighborhood guidelines. We'll give you product details and photos to make approval quick.
Can you replace windows after hail damage?
Yes. We'll document the damage and give you a detailed written estimate you can share with your insurance adjuster.
